According to a story at http://www.news.com/News/Item/0%2C4%2C20978%2C00.html Microsoft is offering small Internet service providers free copies of NT -- worth nearly $2,000 at retail -- if they'll agree to push Internet Explorer on their users. "We don't have an operating system we can give away for free to our customers," says Netscape spokeswoman Chris Holten in the article. "This promotion begs the question whether Microsoft is abusing their monopoly power." Does anyone else besides me see this as a big opportunity for FreeBSD? Jordan, how fast can Walnut Creek get on the horn to Netscape and offer to do a large run of FreeBSD CD-ROMs just for them -- either the standard release or a special one with Netscape's server on the disks? If they buy a big lot, WC will make a tidy profit and FreeBSD will get a big boost. --Brett Glass To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
