Or a subdirectory thereof (e.g. ${PREFIX}/etc/distribute)?
Or maybe something like ${PREFIX}/libdata/distribute ?

If I understand correctly, there will probably several of these files (one or
more per mailing list)? Right? If so, it'd be nice to group them in a common
directory, I would think.
