At the boot prompt use -c, then at the > prompt, type disable npx0 and hit return. The type quit. This is how I got FreeBSD installed on my laptop. Once it was installed, I did the same thing at boot up, but instead of disabling npx0, I set the flags to 0x07. It booted with no problems.
