Subject: FreeBSD equivalent of Linux gcvt

I have another problem with code that uses a function defined in Linux
header files but not in FreeBSD header files. The function is gcvt and
it is defined in Linux <stdlib.h> as:

 extern char* gcvt __P((double __value, size_t __ndigit, char *__buf));

Is there an equivalent in FreeBSD? Or is there a work around.

Thanks in advance.
