Hi all. On my 2.2.5 box I could print fine, but since my upgrade to 2.2.7 ... all hell broke loose. This is my orig /etc/printcap file: lp|lexmark:\ :rm=f.q.d.n:\ :mx#0:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\ :lf=/var/spool/lpd/lp/lpd.errors: No problem there, and it worked fine. But now on 2.2.7, whenever I try to print using lpr I get this: lpr: connect: No such file or directory jobs queued, but cannot start daemon. The jobs get spooled alright, but in /var/spool/output/lpd. If I update my /etc/printcap file to that directory, I get the same results. Did I miss someting in the 2.2.7 release. Thanks for the help. -Jacques ------------------------------------------------------ The box said "Requires Windows 3.1 or better" ... so I got BSD Network Administrator | Jacques Hugo UNIX Systems | jacques@ctech.ac.za Cape Technikon | +27-21-4603584 ------------------------------------------------------ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
