Hmm, not really, I guess. The syntax is arguably more straightforward than jot (closer to gnu 'seq', but it can do more than that utility--hex and octal output, for example). To print the range 1-20 with this utility is 'loop 1 20', whereas with jot it's 'jot 20 1'. I think it's possible to use this utility without reading the man page, which I can't say for jot. Could just be me. Murray
