You can use the command hostname to set the hostname up on the computer just 
type hostname NAME as root NAME being the name you want like i did hostname 
sirArthur..and then to set the loop back put this in the kernel for loopback 
to work peseudo-device loop in the kernel config most of the time it is 
configured by default...
