You need to visit http://www.o2.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html, which is a Linux site but they have modems type to real modems or WinModems. Most of the PCI's are WinModems and require host processing built into the OS. They don't work on the *nix's. You can do a lookup by your modem number.
