[-- Attachment #1 --] ( I'm not on the list, please reply direct ) I'm having problem getting a 2.2.6 system to connect to an outside system running Linux 2.0.31 portslave's pppd w/radius. It's doing the infamous LCP forever until disconnect. I've disabled openmode active on the dialing system, and enabled openmode active on the receiving system. I can connect to the receiving system with 2.2.2 / 2.2.5 / 3.0-current but the 2.2.6 system is causing me grief. The hardware connection is 2 Zyxel ISDN external TA's. They work fine on the other systems. The ppp.conf file is the same as the one I'm using on the 3.0-current system running latest ppp source. I've included a piece of the log file plus a small screen capture from telneted inside ppp. Thanks, diana Diana Eichert IT Manager McKinley Paper Company deeiche@mckinleypaper.com [-- Attachment #2 --] From the log file: May 8 21:32:48 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Chat: Wait for (40): CONNECT May 8 21:32:48 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Connect: ^M May 8 21:32:49 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Connect: ATDT3460837^M^M May 8 21:32:49 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Connect: CONNECT May 8 21:32:49 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: IPCP: Using trigger address 0.0.0.0 May 8 21:32:49 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: State change Initial --> Closed May 8 21:32:49 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: State change Closed --> Stopped May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: LcpSendConfigReq May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACFCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: PROTOCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACCMAP[6] 0x00000000 May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MRU[4] 1500 May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MAGICNUM[6] 0x4f8aef48 May 8 21:32:50 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: State change Stopped --> Req-Sent May 8 21:32:53 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: LcpSendConfigReq May 8 21:32:53 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACFCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:53 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: PROTOCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:53 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACCMAP[6] 0x00000000 May 8 21:32:53 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MRU[4] 1500 May 8 21:32:53 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MAGICNUM[6] 0x4f8aef48 May 8 21:32:56 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: LcpSendConfigReq May 8 21:32:56 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACFCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:56 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: PROTOCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:56 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACCMAP[6] 0x00000000 May 8 21:32:56 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MRU[4] 1500 May 8 21:32:56 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MAGICNUM[6] 0x4f8aef48 May 8 21:32:59 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: LcpSendConfigReq May 8 21:32:59 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACFCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:59 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: PROTOCOMP[2] May 8 21:32:59 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACCMAP[6] 0x00000000 May 8 21:32:59 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MRU[4] 1500 May 8 21:32:59 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MAGICNUM[6] 0x4f8aef48 May 8 21:33:02 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: LcpSendConfigReq May 8 21:33:02 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACFCOMP[2] May 8 21:33:02 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: PROTOCOMP[2] May 8 21:33:02 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: ACCMAP[6] 0x00000000 May 8 21:33:02 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MRU[4] 1500 May 8 21:33:02 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: MAGICNUM[6] 0x4f8aef48 May 8 21:33:05 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: State change Req-Sent --> Stopped May 8 21:33:05 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: LCP: LcpLayerFinish May 8 21:33:06 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Phase: Modem: Connect time: 20 secs: 25 octets in, 261 octets out May 8 21:33:06 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Phase: total 14 bytes/sec May 8 21:33:06 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Phase: NewPhase: Dead May 8 21:33:06 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: IPCP: Using trigger address 0.0.0.0 May 8 21:33:06 tsdawg ppp[9665]: tun0: Phase: Disconnected!
