hi jason,

if you install the proftpd port (/usr/ports/ftp/proftpd) the config
directive is called "DefaultRoot" (eg. "DefaultRoot ~" will lock the
user to its home directory). you can also define groups which are
allowed to see more than this etc.  more infos on the config directives:
