That's certainly an option.  Even though the FBSD-Alpha project has
progressed well beyond "beta" stage, it's still quite young and there
are bound to be significant problems in a server environment.  I don't
want to discount FBSD-Alpha, I've used it and I think it's great
(KUTGW guys).  But since this is application would appear to be a
major server running critical services, I would opt for one of the
more established BSDs.
