The next line in your /etc/rc.conf file should be:

named_program=3D"/usr/sbin/named"                 # named program

Followed by any flags:=20

named_flags=3D"-b /etc/namedb/named.conf"         # Flags to named

And, of course, the somewhat silly question.... did you reboot?
