Hi

I am New to FreeBSD and I have installed freebsd 4.5 now on my old p2. I have got problems with my harddisk no1 (write timout). This disk does not support dma, but freebsd allways boots it in dma mode. Hard disk no2 is capable to do dma and works fine! Now My question:
How can I tell freebsd to do pio mode on disk 1 permanentley?
boot options? recompile kernel?

Sincerley
