i have a problem installing freebsd over ppp connection to the internet... in release 2.2.5 i had NO PROBLEMS figuring out how to set it up... when i tried to do a fresh install(i wiped all the bsd partions off my hard drive(partition magic) booted off the(new) freebsd install disk...everything is fine...after i make the ppp connection....and go back to the menu system. to press enter, as soon as i press enter(0 second delay) it says it cannot find the host, i have tried to use the ip address as well, it is like it is scanning off the ethernet card, not the ppp device....what is going on....i assumed it would be no different from the 2.2.5 release....please help i have tried to set the ns and gateway from the ppp program as well, thinking it may help...but it did not... i really like freebsd, but i cannot seem to get the new release to insall over the internet Brian To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
