My Plan is to make a gzipped tarball of the entire machine, excluding directories that are not necessary. If however, there is a more sound solution then tarballing a machine for a backup, Im all ears. I know rsync is a possibility, but i'd like to have just a solid, non-active archive copy of machines. EXCLUDE DIRECTORIES ---------------------------------------------- /proc /dev /tmp /usr/ports/ /var/tmp/ What else would be safe to exclude?
