By default, Claws Mail looks in /etc/ for the "mime.types" file to know what MIME types to set when sending various attachment file extensions. The "mime.types" file is located at /usr/local/etc/ on FreeBSD, so Claws Mail cannot find it by default (and attachments are not sent with the proper MIME types). The attached patch sets the "SYSCONFDIR" environment variable upon compiling so Claws Mail knows where the file is and can properly load it when running the application.
