Why haven't you been able to get graphics working properly with FreeBSD?
Both Linux and FreeBSD use the same *exact* codebase for it's X11 -- it
comes from XFree86.  The same XF86Config file should work under both
(maybe with minor path tweaking).  Also Xi Graphics Laptop Accerated X
offering is the exact same for Linux and FreeBSD.
