Thanks for the info. Only a few issues happen on the 2645-4au (Thinkpad 600e variant) model. Here are my edits for the model I have. 1. The System Utilities/ Configuration utilities DOS v4.30 disk (where ps2.exe is located) is under the device matrix on IBM's PC support for Thinkpads. 2. The modem, parallel port, and sound need to be configured. 3. Everything else is pretty simple. Tips: Use FreeBSD v4.4 or higher. For the parallel port, set it to 0x378. For the sound device, set "device pcm; device sbc0 at port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flag 0x10" For the modem, it comes up as the 16550A on sio1. I didn't test it since I use my cable/DSL access mainly (bad excuse really, just had no reason otherwise). Use a 3Com Megahertz PCMCIA or known FreeBSD compatible NIC. My 3Com 10/100+Modem cards work fine.
