There is a third machine (192.168.1.254, ip address from isp) that acts as a gateway router. When my internet connection goes down for whatever reason I loose connections in my local network. For example, i can't ping 192.168.1.40 from 192.168.1.42. is there any explaination for this? is it because my default route is set to be external?
