While I think its probably just as easy to use the patc= hes I've provided in the past with minor tweaks fixed up for current ports tree= , I no longer use atlas. Since finally upgrading to hardware that has the AVX family of instructions I have switched things around to just use openblas t= hese days, as last checked Atlas doesn't use those instructions in its optimizat= ion routines. I can no longer really test patches out any longer. Personally I'd rather see folks focus on the setuptools upgrades, and cannot thank the fol= ks in the python group enough for fixing up cython to just use version 3 in the ports I use on my system.
