Can you please help?

I am not a genius with computers but know my way round the motherboard.

I am running Windows XP (UK) and have no sound at all.

I believe my sound card is the same if not similar to the one you have
posted a patch for on the link below:
_http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-bugs/2003-July/001564.html_
(http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-bugs/2003-July/001564.html)

I think I need the software driver.

In device manager, "Multimedia Audio Controller" which I assume has
something to do with the sound card flags a problem, when I go into it it has no
driver installed. Am I correct in saying that the correct sound driver would
possibly solve the problem?

Thanks for any help.

Dan
