My name as a menu of this day :-) Greg: > I assume that this guy's first name is Rudolf. I wonder how many > people reading this would think it's Cejka. Could we agree to put the > first first and the last last, at least for European cultures? Yes - my first name is Rudolf and my second name is Cejka (for ISO-8859-2 compliant users it is Čejka or for English users it is Lapwing ;-). Andrey: > It may be so or may be not. We really sometimes use "Surname Firstname" form and sometimes "Firstname Surname" form. I think we should stay as it is - I think it is a good way to directly copy name from mail header as done by Andrey. Mark: > Better - completely capitalise the surname. For me and I think for many others: Please no. Conclusion: It is not a problem for me - I agree with "Cejka Rudolf" form. I have another problems, such as I don't agree with implementation of "%B" as a month name in declensioned form expecting there will be as a prefix day and "%OB" as a month name in really basic form. Andrey thinks it is according to standards and I (and other my colleagues) think it is against standards. But cvs-all is not a good place for discussions about this... -- Rudolf Cejka (cejkar@dcse.fee.vutbr.cz; http://www.fee.vutbr.cz/~cejkar) Brno University of Technology, Faculty of El.
