If its the built in raid system, you probably run ida(4). I believe ciss(4) was not introduced until G3. (with p4 xeon) I dont know if ida(4) runs scsi3. ida is really old and I would guess it only run scsi2. If you dont find ida(4) (or ciss(4)) in your dmesg, you dont have the raidkey and only end up with regular onboard scsi cards. sys(4) if I recall. /Bjorn On Mon, 15 May 2006, nospam@ofloo.net wrote: > Hi, > > I own dl580 dual Xeon pIII 700mhz 2048 mb ram how do I enable scsi raid > on this system?? which is the correct scsi driver because it seems that > it uses "Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2" write with my current kernel and i > don't think that it is optimized since I think it has scsi-3 > > Thanks in advance. > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-proliant@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-proliant > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-proliant-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" >
