I've done as suggested and used xvidtune. I remembered it not long=20 after I posted, and it's got my ModeLines all up and running the way I=20= like them. I'm still wondering what happened to break xorgcfg, and=20 what else might have broken as xorgcfg worked fine on another system=20 that had Xorg-from-scratch rather than Xorg-from-XFree86, but all seems=20= okay for now.
