Perhaps you could save us all some holy war by reiterating why the
naming system we had before GEOM has to go away now.  The point
obviously hasn't gotten through. :-)

Also, I'd suggest that you send the explanation to -arch, since the
readers of cvs-all-digest probably didn't sign up for this. :-)
