For some reason my reply to the PR ( http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=powerpc/164225 ) was not published. Therefore, I include Nathan's comment and my reply at the bottom of this e-mail. I tried 'printenv' to see where load-base is mapped. Milas Obuch suggested I remap it with 'setenv load-base 0xABCDEFGH' to the real location, but I don't know what to set it to. Also, I tried booting 9.1-RC2 ---------------- 8<------------ 8<------------ 8<------------ 8<------------ >Thanks for debugging it this far! Could you also send a copy of the Open >Firmware device tree and the contents of the properties under the >/memory nodes? I think this is what you needed, if not, please tell me :) BTW, I have 2x 256MB chips. 0 > devalias disk /pci@fef00000/scsi@c/sd@a,0:4 scsi /pci@fef00000/scsi@c cdrom /pci@fef00000/ide@b,1/disk@0 com1 /pci@fef00000/isa@b/serial@i3f8 serial /pci@fef00000/isa@b/serial@i3f8 com2 /pci@fef00000/isa@b/serial@i2f8 floppy /pci@fef00000/isa@b/fdc@i3f0/disk@0 net /pci@fef00000/ethernet@10 network /pci@fef00000/ethernet@10 rtc /pci@fef00000/isa@b/rtc@i70 nvram /nvram@ff800000 parallel /pci@fef00000/isa@b/parallel@i378 ok 0 > dev /memory ok 0 > ls 00c5fdf8: /IBM,memory-module@0 00c60208: /IBM,memory-module@1 0 > dev /memory ok 0 > .properties name memory device_type memory reg 00000000 20000000 available 00004000 00bfc000 01400000 1ec00000 #address-cells 00000001 #size-cells 00000000 ok 0 > hex drop dev /memory .properties name memory device_type memory reg 00000000 20000000 available 00004000 00bfc000 01400000 1ec00000 #address-cells 00000001 #size-cells 00000000 ok STACK UNDERFLOW! ok 0 > dev / ok 0 > ls 00c5a9c0: /cpus 00c5b700: /PowerPC,POWER3@0 00c5bc78: /l2-cache 00c5c7c0: /reserved@ff000000 00c5cc90: /event-sources 00c5ccf8: /epow-events 00c5cd90: /chosen 00c5cef8: /memory@0 00c5fdf8: /IBM,memory-module@0 00c60208: /IBM,memory-module@1 00c60618: /memory-controller@ff001000 00c60838: /nvram@ff800000 00c60d00: /IBM,sp@ff880000 00c70d78: /rom@fff00000 00c71900: /interrupt-controller@ffc00000 00c71c78: /openprom 00c77168: /options 00c77cb0: /aliases 00c79a80: /packages 00c79b28: /deblocker 00c7a8b0: /disk-label 00c7e190: /tape-label 00c7e410: /obp-tftp 00c8a958: /ip 00c90a10: /prep-boot 00c91028: /fat-files 00c92af8: /iso-13346-files 00c99d00: /disassembler 00c9f048: /assembler 00cafef8: /platform 00cb0880: /utilities 00cba5c8: /net 00cbc218: /iso-9660-files 00cbd198: /boot-mgr 00cd1ff8: /chrp-loader 00cd2188: /pe-loader 00cd29a8: /elf-loader 00cd4b38: /terminal-emulator 00d227f8: /gui 00da7f80: /post 00cd4bd0: /rtas 00ce45b0: /pci@fef00000 00ced230: /isa@b 00ceee40: /reserved@i78 00ceef48: /rtc@i70 00cf0b90: /parallel@i378 00cf11b8: /serial@i3f8 00cf22d8: /serial@i2f8 00cf33f0: /serial@i898 00cf4508: /8042@i60 00cf5e28: /fdc@i3f0 00cf9490: /disk@0 00cf9be8: /timer@i40 00cfa130: /interrupt-controller@i20 00cfa368: /dma-controller@i0 00cfa570: /ide@b,1 00cfb728: /disk@0 00cff300: /scsi@c 00d04c60: /sd 00d05bc0: /st 00d06f00: /scsi@c,1 00d0c860: /sd 00d0d7c0: /st 00d0eb00: /ethernet@10 00d178e0: /ethernet@11 00ce9278: /pci@fee00000 ok ---------------- 8<------------ 8<------------ 8<------------ 8<------------ -- Lyubomir Grigorov (bgalakazam)
