Yes.

XFree86 documentation leaves something to be desired.  I've described
this in my diary at http://www.lemis.com/~grog/diary-jan2001.html#26
and again at http://www.lemis.com/~grog/diary-aug2001.html#6.  Don't
count on it to be sufficient; somebody should write this up.
