I managed to leave my 2.0.5 CD at home, and I want to install a new system. I thought this would be an excellent chance to try the Laplink/lp0 method, but I have a problem. I think I've entered all the info correctly, but the install fails. The message box says "Unable to configure the lp0 interface!". The debug screen says "ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCAIFADDR): can't assign requested address". However, if I switch to the holographic shell, I can type `ifconfig lp0 199.233.104.40 199.233.104.37', and ifconfig -a indicates that everything is fine (I can even ping the new box (.40) from .37). Any suggestions? tnx... -- Rich Kuhns rjk@grauel.com PO Box 6249 100 Sawmill Road Lafayette, IN 47903 (317)477-6000 x319
