This is the old "categorical imperative" fallacy. Not everyone
WOULD use an autoresponder. (We don't.) And until and unless
the list maintainer filters viruses, it's nice to get SOME
warning out there. Ultimately, it would be nice if list maintainers
assumed this function, but I'm not holding my breath.
