Just shrink your windows partition down to I'm gonna say 6GB, that way you'll
have 6GB for freebsd. Now you are going to have a 6GB partition that is just
sitting there empty. When you install FBSD it'll recognize that partition as just
empty and unused.

. . . .|Hi
. . . .|I have windows98 it takes 4,5Gb on my 13Gb HDD from Maxtor. And want
install Freebsd and use bsd together with win. But don't want lost my files, so
I read in handbook about Partition Magic from PowerQuest
http://www.powerquest.com/ which allows create partitions for several
operation systems without missing information on another. So I've got
PowerQuest PartitionMagic Pro 6.01 and found that can create partitions for:
. . . .| Dos/Windows3.x
. . . .| Windows95/98/Me
. . . .| Windows NT
. . . .| Windows 2000
. . . .| Linux
. . . .| Os/2

I'm guessing all that does is format the partitions, but the FBSD install
will also format them automatically for you, all you have to do is leave an empty
space on the HD for FreeBSD, and to do that, just make ur windows partition
smaller.
. . . .|but what about Freebsd or I can choose Linux and install Freebsd on
partition for Linux?
. . . .|Hwo have experience please help me install Freebsd and keep alive Win98
without format my drive.
. . . .|Thank's Artur
