I think problem is that you have not put DNS in /etc/resolv.conf file. Mine 
looks like this:

#/etc/resolv.conf file
domain my.domain
nameserver 198.235.216.134
nameserver 209.226.175.223

Your have to put your dns, if you want your box be able to match an ip 
address with domain name you write, for examble, in your browser.
