I'm seeing something similar with my Linksys card and 4.3-RELEASE. Every so often, the card causes the Linksys switch to switch speed settings. The switch goes from 100 to 10 on that port. Netatalk seems to exacerbate the problem. The ifconfig trick works as does hard coding the speed on the interface. However, when I hardcode the speed, I am unable to do full-duplex. You'd think a Linksys switch can talk to a Linksys adapter.... Anyway, the next card I get for this machine will be an Intel card.
