Which part of the Bryan's sucker punch was necessary?  Especially when
it appears that sendmail is actually broken everywhere when the build
user is root?

Each post of his was inappropriate (it wasn't even addressed to him).
If you are going to chide my response, you have to also chide his
original post, otherwise you appear biased.  Unless, of course, you
think he was justified.
