The problem I have with making it the `official' reference is that it is controlled by a third party (and not the FreeBSD Project), so the influence we have on it are limited. Even if it is considered superior to the official site, I would vote for adding a link to it, but still having something official on FreeBSD controlled servers. We can add a link to the FreshPorts page to every port page, should this considered useful, but we should make clear that we are linking to a third party site with a possibly different publishing policy. -Oliver
