This should not be possible, but I can crash my system with no effort. The only thing I get logged is: Jun 15 16:02:48 server kernel: Fatal double fault All I have to do is run a program that seg faults or has some other problem. The most recent one was abiword. I did the following: gdb `which abiword` (gdb) r then I opened a file and did a "save as...", which causes a seg fault. Then I did a (gdb) c and boom! reboot. Sean
