I think I know what _might_ be causing this problem. I have been building my kernel with HZ=1000, when I dropped back down to HZ=100 the problem stopped. I was unable to install openoffice with HZ=1000 even though I tried several times. There must be a race condition/bug/overflow that gets tickled when HZ=1000 - don't know what it might be yet. Date: 18 Apr 2003 10:14:57 -0700 From: Mike Harding <mvh@ix.netcom.com> CC: gnome@freebsd.org I'm using maildir, so there really isn't an INBOX per se. I did not used to have this behavior, but I can't figure out exactly what changed when it started happening.... mostly I am pinging the group to find out if anyone else sees this or if there is a solution. - Mike H.
