Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Date: Fri, 24 Apr 1998 12:23:09 +0800 From: Stephen Hocking-Senior Programmer PGS Tensor Perth Sender: owner-freebsd-multimedia@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org It's now available at - ftp://ftp.muppetlabs.com/pub/ldescent/ldescent-0.0.17.tgz It includes X11 & joystick support, but there's a bunch of stuff left for me to do, including * Improved X11 support - Support window size changes - Using the mouse * SpaceOrb support - I've located a generic library that'll talk to the serial port and interpret the protocol that it uses. * Extra FreeBSD support - Using libvgl, which is very similar to SVGAlib. - Allowing the use of the various assembler versions of the texture mapping & scanline mapping routines. * Winding the Pentium & PPro specific routines back into the formal distribution. After I posted the announcement to the descent mailing list, the fellow whoe SpaceOrb library I intend to use told me that he's planning on adding the support himself.
