Hello, When you install any version of FreeBSD, initial permission of /etc/mail/aliases.db is 640. But this file is generated from /etc/mail/aliases and its permission is 644. So anyone who has account can get all infomation included in /etc/mail/aliases.db from its source file. Then is there any reason that permission of /etc/mail/aliases.db is more restrictive than /etc/mail/aliases? Best Regards. --- Yasuhiro KIMURA
