Good to hear. It is actually listed in the list of compatible 
devices, so I feel quite safe.

Well, I intend doing the 16550 upgrade myself, so it should be the 
same effect. I do need the DIP switch settings though so I can set 
the right settings for the sio driver.

Are you sure? One of my subjects at colledge was digital electronics 
and I don't really see how 4 UARTS interface to 1...
