Why do I keep getting signal 11 on every other command right after
installing 2.0.5a? The same hardware ran the Feb snap without a
hickup, the only hardware change is the addition of a second IDE disk
(850 MB Maxtor) for 2.0.5a.

It's always the same commands that get SIG11. swapinfo, for example,
or ifconfig ed0, or iostat. Things like date, vi, ls, df work o. k..
Maybe the distribution was damaged? I got a message from gzip
'premature end of file' on the debug screen when the bindist was
installed. However I checked the number and sizes of all bin.??
files, it looks allright. I didn't see any chksum files, so I cannot
easily check the integrity of the distribution (short of transferring
it all again, which I won't do since I'm located in Germany).

Hardware is a 386/40 clone with 8MB of mem, ET4000 SVGA, 2 IDE disks
(primary ST3283A, secondary MAXTOR 7850AR), WD8013EPC at irq 10, no
80387. 2.0.5a is being installed on the secondary harddisk.

Any idea?

P.S.: It almost looks like it could be related to libkvm?
