Hm, time for plan C. Make an install boot floppy and fixit floppy (or CD), then boot the boot floppy and select `Fixit' from the menu. You should get a shell after that -- mount your root partition on /mnt and fix /mnt/etc/ttys to disable secure mode on the console.
