Sender: owner-ports@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Hey there, Is any work still being done to port the latest JDK to FreeBSD? There is a partial port of JDK-1.0 from back in February in LOCAL_PORTS on freefall. In the readme for it, it mentions that a new relase would be out when appletviewer was ported...did this ever happen? I'd not care as much if javac_netscape worked, but all it seems to do is suck up memory and CPU cycles without doing much real work. I have my CLASSPATH and NCLASSPATH set properly, www/JDK port installed, netscape3.0 (release, and I tried it with a few beats I still could find around. Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to have to bring a win95 or linux box online... Thanks! --Gene -- Gene W.
