You need to post the output from make(1) so we can see where it
croaks.
First though, did you remember to run ``make depend''?
cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf
/usr/sbin/config YOUR_KERNEL
cd ../../compile/YOUR_KERNEL
==>>> make depend
make
make install
