This is actually a good thing. Because you have to consider
this. Imagine having a network where you had 1 million users allowed onto
one box. Nobody would get access to the box because it would be getting
hammered by login and other requests. 65k is just perfect. Although on
clustered mail systems this might not work, but it prevents a given server
from being overloaded by too many users. Windows 2000 may claim to be able
to support over 1 million users, items, and objects, but I definitely
wouldn't want to have to login or gain resources from that server. You'd
never get anything done.
