Hmm, I don't know anything about fluxbox other than what it is, I've always run KDE or Gnome. I'm not sure you necessarily need one. I used mpg123 to play mp3's on a server once just for kicks, and I didn't have to have any kind of extra sound system. The documentation from the programs you want to run don't contain anything useful on this topic? Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Mike
