 FreeBSD is totally free... it is not encumbered by the GNU license
(unlike Linux.)   You can download it freely from http://www.freebsd.org.
However, it is quite large; you may want to purchase a 4-CD set from
Walnut Creek CDROM (http://www.cdrom.com).

 It will give you internet access.
