Interestingly, a >co-worker in Atlanta complained of the same thing to >me. Anyone experience that? My gateway machine is used as a packet filter and that's about it. I'm not sure I would recognize a packet loss if it occured but this is the output of my daily maintenance job: Network interface status: Name Mtu ... Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Coll lo0 16384 ... 113 0 113 0 0 lo0 16384 ... 113 0 113 0 0 ed0 1500 ... 948651 548 820707 6 65 ed0 1500 ... 948651 548 820707 6 65 ep0 1500 ... 848724 0 954511 1 0 ep0 1500 ... 848724 0 954511 1 0 [ep0=3Com 3C589D ed0=Linksys EC2T] The errors on the EC2T are "invalid packet length" and are apparently experienced by many others judging by the archives. I haven't noticed any effect, and the archives said not to worry about. I assume the magic of ethernet will take care of it. Any opposing opinions?
