 OK, my apologies for the previous email.  It seems that the reason 
 pkg-install.in didn't find its way into files was because of "patch."
 
 Nevertheless, I did find that when I had "BATCH=yes" in /etc/make.conf, 
 that it didn't seem to be respected by the new pkg-install.
