It seems to be possible to "upgrade" over an existing system, the /etc is backed up and something is copied back. /usr/local/bin isnt mentioned in the Walnut Creek booklet, it will hopefully be untouched, so /usr/home/*... Are other things to observe, will the old binaries work with this system. should I deinstall and reinstall things, linux base etc ? Keen on working with the parallel port Zip drive, which didnt run with 3.1. What is with the new soundcard driver, will it support MIDI ? Does the installation (with Kernel Sources) need more space than 3.1 ? Will the old MYKERNEL file work (well, the Zip, Soundcard line will be new) ? Anyway, think I should backup MYKERNEL manualy...
