Everything runs fine, except for when a client reboots, I get the following message on the slave server: Feb 9 19:28:02 host ypserv[129]: embedded slash in map name "/etc/amd.home" -- possible spoof attempt from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1013 Feb 9 19:28:02 host ypserv[129]: embedded slash in map name "/etc/amd.home" -- possible spoof attempt from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1013 No errors are reported on the NIS master server. The setup is as follows: NIS master Solaris 7 NIS slave FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE NIS client FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE Diskless machines I am not exporting any amd maps over NIS. Everything does work, including NIS and amd. I am just pulling hairs to find out what is causing these error messages. I have not found any similar complaints by anyone on the web previously. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
